As part of the Memorial Day Celebration, the Great Lakes Loons and Central Michigan University will be partnering Monday to collect items that are needed by members of the U.S. military.

• Donations of all kinds of household items except clothes, tires, and mattresses, are being accepted for the annual yard and plant sale, set for May 25 from 9 a.m. to noon at Sturgis Library. Table rental for sellers is $25. The library is on Route 6A, Barnstable Village. 508-362-6636.
